Cobo Pavillion, Marikina: Party Venue with Pool
If you’re looking for a swimming party venue, but don’t want to go as far as Antipolo, there’s several resorts in Marikina. One of them is the Cobo Resort. It’s an all-in-one venue with a huge ballroom, a red-tiled patio, a small bridge with a pond, a large pool, a jacuzzi for kids and a hidden spot with a fantastic view of the entire place.
When you enter Cobo’s gate, you’ll immediately be welcomed by the ballroom/pavillion with clean and modern bathrooms. Above the pavillion is the owner’s place, which has an airconditioned room that can be rented out – for a fee – for weddings and other events. The pavillion is huge – it can fit three long tables and a buffet table.
When you reach the end of the pavillion, you’ll see a big, red-tiled patio with a wooden gazebo, which is beautifully situated right before the pool. My friend was married here and it’s a great location for a Christian wedding ceremony. The pond with its mini bridge can be easily transformed into a photo-session backdrop ala-lamesa eco park.
See the bridge and the gazebo? 🙂 It’s beyond romantic. Just be careful not to drop anything on the pond because when we visited the place, I couldn’t see the bottom of the pond. Right after the gazebo is the large, oval pool with a super small jacuzzi (which I know kids would love).
At the other side of the pool is a small garden (that could fit an 8×10 Tent) and the gray-tiled area, which you can also rent out for small parties. On the right side of the pool is a mysterious path going up to the heavens – no, it’s just a flight of stairs that leads to a dead end, but the small balcony-looking area is a pretty good place to hang out or hide out.
PESO POWER: The rates for Cobo is quite confusing. Like most resorts, there’s a morning rate and evening rate. The pavillion and patio part of the place is one area you could rent for big events like weddings. The pool has a different rate and it comes with a bathroom and the small garden. To give you an estimate, we inquired about their rates in early 2010 and discovered that we can rent the pavillion/patio area for P15,000, plus P2000 for the airconditioned room.
UPDATE August 29, 2013 (from Jardine of Cobo Pavillion): Cobo Pavillion is now offering Worry Free Packages for different Events. The venue is open for inquiries 10am-7pm daily or you can also call us to schedule a meeting.

Hi Charmaine, I would love to help you with your inquiries, but I’m not directly affiliated with Cobo so I can’t answer for them. Please try to call the numbers posted above and get back to me if none of them work na 🙂 I’ll try to look for their new numbers if ever it’s not working anymore. Thank you 🙂
Hi Rosaline, please try to contact them on their landline (211-6397 / 943-11969 / 646-8709) to check for available skeds 🙂 Thanks!
I do not advise holding your party here. My car was vandalized and I suspect one of their neighbors did it – this is situated in a subdivision and they do not have available parking thus you have no choice but to park your car in front of a house.
Oh I’m sorry to hear that. What did the owners say? I believe he’s a brgy. captain too, but I don’t know if he’s in-charge of that area.
Is this a current price? I was planning on renting the place for January 2013
No it’s not. Please try to contact them to check recent rates! thanks 🙂

We’re going to have an overnight swimming next week with my co-workers. I would like to inquire the fees and is it alright if we bring our own foods inside? Please e-mail me for your response. Thank you.

Hi All,
I do not recommend this place. I regret the experience we had with this place. After we signed the contract, they keep changing the rates on us. The owner said the employee made a mistake It’s not our fault that they didn’t train their employee but despite that I ended up paying extra para matapos na lang ang issue. But that’s not the only thing – sobrang mean ng owner. We rented the pool area and we were asked to clean the place. As in, nagwalis kami. Diba dapat cleanup kasama na sa rental? Anyway, we still did it. Lahat ng kilos dito me corkage. The facilities is not great either. The bathrooms are dirty. The doors are broken. People can peek on you while you use the restroom. Daming lamok! Our guests were asked not to roam outside of the pool area. But we cannot ask them to stop walking around! They are just so mean and not so friendly. When we reached the place on the day of the event, the receptionist doesn’t even smile or greet us.
So overall, Do not rent this place. Go somewhere else!
Sorry you had a bad experience.. when we went there, wedding yung inattendan namin, so wasn’t able to check amenities for swimming gaya ng bathrooms, etc. Also at that time, wala rin corkage.
In reply to Fchua Good day! This is Jardine Leosala, manager of Cobo Pavillion. I’m also authorized to speak in behalf of the owner. We would appreciate it better if you just scheduled a meeting with us so that we could personally adress all your concerns but since you chose to post all your concerns online, let me address all your concerns on line as well not just for our sake but also for the sake and awareness of the people looking for a venue through this blog. Let me break down your concerns so that I can address them all one by one.
1. “After we signed the contract, they keep changing the rates on us. The owner said the employee made a mistake It’s not our fault that they didn’t train their employee but despite that I ended up paying extra para matapos na lang ang issue.”
– Regarding this, speaking in behalf of the secretary, she didnt make a mistake because in thefirst place, she did not confirm thay we can give the discount that youre asking for. She told you beforehand that she still has to ask us about it. With regards to your concern of paying extra “to end the issue”, we would like you to know that the amount we asked from you is only 25% of the actual amount that you need to pay.
2.”sobrang mean ng owner” – you failed to provide us an acceptable reason as to why you find our owner “mean”. Moreover, that’s also a very personal comment.
3. “we were asked to clean the place. As in, nagwalis kami. Diba dapat cleanup kasama na sa rental? Anyway, we still did it. Lahat ng kilos dito me corkage.” – Regarding the cleaning of the place, you have a catering service that should be doing all thr cleaning for you. In fact, that’s one of the internal policies between the venue and the caterer but since you failed to imform us that you’re going tohave your own caterer, we were not able to talk to your caterer’s head waiter about it. With regards to the corkage, we have all the rights to ask for it because we have our in-house suppliers and caterers. Also, if you’re going to compare it to other venues, the corkage we are imposing is not that expensive.
4. “The facilities is not great either. The bathrooms are dirty. The doors are broken. People can peek on you while you use the restroom. Daming lamok!”
– Before you rented the venue, we asked you to check all the facilities first and given that you still rented our venue even after checking it out suggests that you’re satisfied with what you saw. Contrary to what you’re saying, our restrooms are always clean in fact people continue to patronize us because of our cleanliness. With regards to the dirty toilets and shower rooms, the fault lies with your caterer for washing their used plates in the shower rooms which they did on purposeEven if they knew that washing of plates in the venue is strictly prohibited. On your concern about the mosquitoes, we’ve been doing our best to make the venue mosquito-free but there are just certain things that’s way beyond our control.
5. “Our guests were asked not to roam outside of the pool area. But we cannot ask them to stop walking around!” – in this regard, it’s clearly stipulated in our policy that guests are not allowed to loiterand roam around places which are not included in the venue that you rented.
6. “They are just so mean and not so friendly. When we reached the place on the day of the event, the receptionist doesn’t even smile or greet us.” – Thank you for informing us about our staff. Rest assured that we will do something about it.
7. “So overall, Do not rent this place. Go somewhere else!”
– again, this is your personal opinion and we respect it. We tried our best to serve you and compromise but personally speaking, we dont deserve all these negative comments. Thank you for posting this at least we were also able to defend and give our own side of story.
If you still have further comments and violent reactions, feel free to contact me at 09328656225/09176262415/6248596 or email me your concern at jardine.leosala@yahoo.com.
